‘THE STUBBORN LIGHT OF THINGS’
In April 2020, Peter edited and produced ‘The Stubborn Light Of Things’ podcast. It became Apple’s all-time #1 podcast for nature in the UK and was nominated for ‘Best Podcast’ at the 2020 Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.

‘Beautiful’ - Stuart Maconie, BBC6 Music
‘Fifty or so minutes of pure bliss… A record of real beauty, meaning and purpose’ - Caught By The River
WARDOWN ‘WARDOWN’
Released in October 2020 on Blu Mar Ten Music, Wardown is a semi-autobiographical work of ambient, jungle and drum & bass about memory, loss and Peter’s home town of Luton.
‘A serious statement of intent’ - Drum&Bass Arena
‘Will endure as a beautiful, unique, cinematic experience, perfect for reflection on this most unpredictable of years’ - UKF Best Albums Of 2020
‘at hawthorn time’
An audio companion to Melissa Harrison's novel 'At Hawthorn Time', published by Bloomsbury in 2015, these two tracks were originally released on the ‘Rivertones’ label as a 10" vinyl, with individually silkscreened and stitched sleeves by Lucy Murtagh.
‘Absolutely mesmerizing’ - Mary-Anne Hobbs, BBC 6Music
‘Attentiveness’
This audio piece was written with the author Melissa Harrison for the Gladstones Library ‘Gladfest’ event in 2021, and was played in the library throughout the event for visitors.
Gladstone's is a residential library and meeting place dedicated to dialogue, debate and learning for open-minded individuals and groups who are looking to explore pressing questions and to pursue study and research in an age of distraction and easy solutions.
WARDOWN ‘II’
‘Wardown’, this follow-up was released in 2022, expanding on the themes of nostalgia and loss, and focusing on our collective reactions to a promised future that remains undelivered.
‘One of my most played and admired albums of the year… I found it near impossible to stop the album once it started, as it flowed easily between stories, styles, and sentimental reflection’ - A Strangely Isolated Place
WARDOWN ‘III’
Wardown didn’t start out as a trilogy: the first album was very much intended as a one-off. But once things started to develop, it was clear there would need to be an end point to the project eventually. A reckoning, perhaps.
‘We felt like nostalgic futurists, one half of our bodies aimed with hope at the prospect of future utopias, one half aimed with dread at the prospect of future utopias, torquing ever backward at an inexorably receding past’.
BEACH HUT SIX
In the summer of 2022 Peter was commissioned to create a bespoke piece of ambient music inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Wells-next-The-Sea and Beach Hut Six in East Anglia, UK. This project has now grown from being a standalone piece to four compositions, inspired by the different moods and atmospheres throughout the seasons.
